Part 2 Disbursements
Disbursements are fees paid on your behalf to other authorities, organisations and people involved in the funeral arrangements. These fees vary according to geographical area and are charged at the same rate no matter what Funeral Director you use.
For example, a cremation would require a crematorium fee and a medical fee. If you would like a Minister to officiate the service, the Minister’s fee would then also apply. For a burial you would be required to pay the cemetery fee, and for a churchyard burial, a gravediggers’ fee.
If a new grave is required in a cemetery, you will need to purchase the “Exclusive Right of Burial” from the local authority. This will involve a fee in addition to that of the Cemetery Fee stated above.
